I’m The Birthday Boy
I celebrated my birthday on the 24th of this month in true degenerate fashion. I stayed awake till 11am blowing through my pokerstars account in the $100-200 stud08 games. One outtered two outered – no worries. I have come to a conclusion (which I have suspected for a long time), I am in fact the unluckiest player on the net. E-mail me for hand histories if you want empirical evidence.
Aside from that uneventful day, I’ve been doing some late night shopping for sandwich meat and bread sticks. There is a guy behind the deli-counter at Woolworths who I am very concerned about. I believe he is the only man in the world who has the whispering version of Turrets Syndrome. While I stand there carefully selecting my meat, his beady eyes will dart from side to side as he quietly insults me under his breath. I thought about saying something but I just let it slide. I expect he’ll either end up hanging from a meat hook in the deep freeze or be the host of a day-time quiz show.
I’ve also watched a couple of DVD’s
Chainsaw Massacre II
After I swore never to watch anything like this again, the devil inside drew me back in. This is some sick shit. Just like the first one, the cast and crew should be locked away for life. There is a scene where one of the characters has his head repeatedly beaten with a hammer to the enjoyment of the cannibal. The poor victim is shaking as blood spurts from his head while the attacker is laughing away. Sick sick stuff. Only watch if you are a sick degenerate.
I’m giving this film 4/10 because it evoked a reaction, it was not good enough to pass 5 but it wasn’t boring either. I will rate a film less than 4 only if it is boring.
The Majestic
Starring funny man Jim Carrey, you would expect it to be a funny movie but it is quite the opposite. Many scenes left me in tears and the plot had me on the edge of my bed. The plot is about Carrey’s memory being exercised back into existence after an accident which left him unable to remember anything about himself.
The following scene is when he is asked to play the piano even though he is certain he does not remember ever having played before.
A very good film 8/10.
