Lottery For Dummies
Since when did $200-$400 become the new 50c - $1? It seems every blog I read, people are writing how they are having 6 figure days destroying these games. Am I the only one not playing $200-$400 PLO and NLH?
Speaking of large amounts of cashola, the following story will have you crying for weeks it is so sad.
My girlfriend’s maid lives a life of servitude on $60/month. Like most maids in the Philippines, she dreams of a better life and a chance at a fresh start. One fateful day last week, she took a trip to the mall and by chance, walked past a lottery agent. She had never played before in her life, but this day, she decided to give it a shot. She picked out 6 random numbers, said a prayer and submitted her ticket. The first prize is a life changing, USD$400,000
On the weekend when the lotto balls were picked, she sat there watching in hope. She was disappointed to find that although all her 6 numbers were picked, they were picked in a different order to the ones she had submitted. So when she wrote down numbers 5, 34, 26, 3, 8, 40 she was devastated so see the numbers 8, 40, 3, 5, 34, 26. She scrunched up her ticket, threw it in the bin and went to sleep.
The next day after she had performed her daily chores, one of which is emptying out the bin, she spoke with her friend and told her how she picked all the numbers of the lottery for last night’s draw but she didn’t get the correct order. When the friend heard this, she screamed YOU WON YOU WON!! Get your ticket and claim your prize because the ordering of the numbers doesn’t matter. Paula’s maid froze with fear and her face went through more colour changes than a chameleon. For the next 48 hours the maid was on suicide watch.
Paula’s maid is not the only one thinking violent thoughts; last week there was what started out as a bombing down the road from me in the local shopping mall. They started out saying they didn’t know what caused the explosion but thought it was a LPG tank. They then changed their statement and said it was a bomb. Apparently, Australians were flown over to the blast site and they determined it was not a bomb but a gas pipe explosion caused by faulty maintenance. Whatever the case, the local terrorist organization here in the Philippines stated they made the bomb and there are plenty all over the city which will explode if their leader is not released from jail.
Gas pipe or Nitro, I’m going to be staying in for the next few weeks.
